We are always actively looking for vessels for sale. We find that Owners often look to sell one or more of their fleet in order to free up the funds to upgrade and expand.
Our focus is on working alongside Owners/Sellers to guide them on realistic market prices for their vessel(s) and to find Buyers outside of their home markets to avoid any competition issues.
Sale of vessels ties in neatly with our other services of purchase, chartering, research and valuations. While we are ever expanding our global network or vessel Owners, we also work closely with trusted shipbroking colleagues in areas where local knowledge and customs require native experts on the ground.
We appreciate that discretion is paramount when selling an asset. When searching for Buyers from within our network or advertising your vessel we can maintain your anonymity until you are happy for us to disclose specific information.
We will coordinate, and where possible attend, inspections, assist in negotiations and draw up the necessary contracts required for the sale. As members of BIMCO we have access to all of the latest contracts. Post-sale is just as important to us as we want our Clients to be happy with our service; therefore, we will provide support until both parties are satisfied.
We are proud to have sold vessels across Europe, North America, and Africa and are always expanding into new markets.
If you are looking to purchase a vessel we will listen closely to your requirement, be it new build or second hand.
Newbuild – we have good relationships with specialist tug and workboat designers and shipyards dedicated to these vessels types around the world. We can therefore offer guidance on the best designs to select and to meet your needs and provide a spectrum of offers directly from the shipyards.
Second hand – in a markets such as the port tugs or workboats it is regularly the case that vessels for sale are not openly marketed for sale as Owners may not want others to know their intentions.
This is where ACL Shipbrokers can provide access to vessels for sale which you may not otherwise have exposure to.
If you have a specific design in mind we will find you units for sale and assist you in negotiating a competitive price. If you are open to guidance and a situation presents itself where we feel there is a more appropriate solution in the market we will offer you a selection of candidates and work with you to find the best vessel for your needs.
We are particularly well equipped to provide help and support in finding vessels outside of your home market. Once you have found what you are looking for we will not only help you with the negotiation and drawing up contracts etc. but also assist you in finding the best way of getting your new vessel back to your area of operation; be it crewed by a professional third party, or shipped in the appropriate vessel type.
Even if you are at the early stages of your search we are keen to discuss your requirement with you and give you an insight into current market rates and availability.
