Alec Laing of ACL Shipbrokers Ltd. is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. He has over 7 years of sale and purchase experience across a variety of vessel types. In recent years, his primary focus has been both sale and purchase and chartering of harbour tugs on a worldwide basis. His works tends to be on a consultant basis for tug owners looking to renew or expand their fleets. Earlier this year, he set up ACL Shipbrokers Ltd. Alec has experience of all types of projects from chartering to newbuild sales, sale of tugs built on speculation, sale of second hand units of differing size, power and propulsion type around the globe. The primary aim of this business is to further specialize in broking of harbour tugs. The foundation of the company are maintenance of relationships with tug building shipyards, with tug designers and tug owners and operators worldwide. Alec is passionate about his chosen field and prides himself in listening closely to his Clients’ requirements and guiding them through the selection and procurement processes.
